Time Flies is my second collection of short
stories, published by Bellowing Ark Press in 2007.
Here are some comments from a reader:
I remember reading Ms Uva’s first book, At The Lost And Found,
with the same fascinated interest that had gripped
me when reading T.E. Lawrence or the Travels of Marco Polo.
Her second book, Time Flies, more mature and philosophically
more wide ranging, is as wholly entertaining and satisfying
as her first. Ms Uva observes New York—a truly foreign country
as she describes—and its tribal customs with the eye of an
anthropologist who has a very dry sense of humor. Ellie’s adventures
range from riding a Circle Line boat in a rainstorm, to a bridal shower
in the lower depths of New Jersey. Throughout all her adventures Ellie
remains both analytical and passionate, with a wry eye for detail.
These stories will make you laugh, pause and think, then smile.
